Fantasy Football Update- 49ers RB Frank Gore likely out/ now expected to start

If you have San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore on your fantasy football roster, you have likely been anxiously awaiting word on his availability for this week’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Fox Sports is reporting this morning that Frank Gore will be inactive this week.

Gore has been dealing with an ankle issue this week. If you have Gore on your roster and you are looking for another running back to replace him, his replacement Kendall Hunter will likely draw the start and could post some respectable numbers this afternoon. The Philadelphia Eagles are currently ranked 30th against the run.

You should also consider the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles could get out to a fast start forcing the 49ers to abandon the run and throw the ball in order to play catch up.

UPDATE- As of 11am EST, several outlets are now reporting that Gore will start against the Eagles this afternoon. I wouldn’t expect huge numbers for him this afternoon as I expect Kendall Hunter to receive a lot of carries in this game.
