The NFL Network has started a new series called, ‘A Football Life” this year and it gives fans a glimpse behind the scenes of various personalities in the league. On Sunday, the CBS series 60 Minutes will give fans a glimpse behind the scenes at another personality, NFL super agent Drew Rosenhaus.

Rosenhaus is the ultimate power broker of sports agents. He represents hundreds of players but is best known for holding a press conference on WR Terrell Owens‘ front lawn, answering each question with the response,’next question’ while Owens did push-ups.

Obviously Rosenhaus think the NFL wouldn’t exist without him. According to a teaser which has been released for Sunday’s interview, Rosenhaus tells CBS interviewer Scott Pelley, “I really believe that the NFL would fall apart without me. That may sound cocky, that may sound arrogant, but I’m telling you the truth….”

Rosenhaus portrays himself as the ultimate peace maker for his players as well. “When it breaks down between the team and the player, the agent is there to pick up the pieces. If a guy says ‘I want to be trade; I hate this team. I hate this coach.’ I say to the player, ‘Tell me, don’t tell the coach. I don’t want you to ruin your relationship with the team. Come to me”.

Well, I don’t know about Rosenhaus being the great benevolent force in the NFL and I am fairly certain that the NFL would be able to transcend his absence. While Rosenhaus is not my favorite person in the world of sports, I will have to tune in to see what else he has to say.
