Heading into the 2011 NFL regular season, many ‘experts’ thought that the Cincinnati Bengals were going to be one of the worst teams in the league. The team was going to be starting a rookie quarterback, wide receivers Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens were gone via free agency, there were questions all around the Bengals. However, after five weeks, Cincinnati is 3-2 and playing some very stout defense.

Rookie QB Andy Dalton, WR A.J Green and second-year TE Jermaine Gresham are all coming together for the Bengals. They are not leading the NFL in scoring right now, but this trio looks to grow together over the next few seasons and become a force.

The Bengals defense, leading the league in least yards allowed, will have another advantage over the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday. Colts RB Joseph Addai does not appear poised to be able to play against the Bengals this week.

Bengals RB Bernard Scott was fined $5,000 dollars for throwing his touchdown ball into the stands last Sunday. Perhaps he should go online to the NFL Shop and purchase an official ball, it’s much cheaper than 5 grand.

The Bengals home game against the Indianapolis Colts has already been announced as a blackout. This now accounts for 7-straight home games which have been blacked out.
