For a second straight week, Earnest Graham will get the starting nod at running back for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. RB LeGarrette Blount was unable to practice this week and will miss his second straight week in the lineup as he is dealing with an undisclosed knee injury.

Blount’s injury has been described as a ‘knee sprain’ by the club but other reports circulating in the media have refered to his injury as a MCL tear which could possibly sideline him for up to six weeks. The Buccaneers will have a bye in Week Eight after playing the Chicago Bears in London this Sunday.

Blount’s injury leaves the Buccaneers dangerously thin at the running back position. Only Earnest Graham and Kregg Lumpkin are on the roster currently. Rookie RB Allan Bradford was claimed this week by the Seattle Seahawks a move which led the Buccaneers to sign Chad Spann to the practice squad. He will join Mossis Madu on the team’s practice squad.

I’ve stated before that I think the Buccaneers should sign RB Joique Bell from the New Orleans Saints practice squad.

Graham proved his worth to the Buccaneers once again last week, totaling 131 yards in the Buccaneers victory over divisional opponent, the New Orleans Saints.
