According to the Denver Post, the San Francisco 49ers have shown the strongest interest in trading for veteran wide receiver Brandon Lloyd. It is believed that Lloyd could be obtained from the Broncos in exchange for a mid-round draft pick in the 2012 Draft.

Lloyd is coming off a career season in 2011, recording 77 receptions for 1,448 yards and 11 touchdowns, but he does not have a score so far this season. Lloyd is well traveled around the league and a trade with the 49ers would send him back to the team which he started his career with. In addition to the Broncos and 49ers, Lloyd has spent two seasons with the Washington Redskins and one with the Chicago Bears.

There are two other teams reportedly interested in Lloyd, the New England Patriots and the St. Louis Rams. The Rams are in need of a wide receiver, but at 0-5 and well out of the playoff hunt, a trade for Lloyd who is slated to become a free agent after this season makes little sense. A move to the Patriots would obviously signal more bad news for veteran WR Chad Ochocinco.

The paper reports that the receiver will likely be moved today.
