ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter is reporting this morning that Arizona Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb is unlikely to play this Sunday when the Cardinals host the St. Louis Rams. Kolb suffered a foot injury Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens. His injury was originally described as ‘turf toe’ but it is now being reported that Kolb suffered a mid foot sprain and a bone bruise.
The Cardinals will give second-string QB John Skelton all the reps in practice this week.
Kolb has not gotten off to the start that the Arizona Cardinals would have liked this season. Kolb has an equal number of touchdowns and interceptions, at eight a piece. He has added three fumbles. Kolb posted his best game of the season in Week One, completing 66% of his passes with two touchdowns and no interceptions. It was Kolb’s only 300 yard passing performance of the season. Kolb has had a turnover in every game he’s played since opening week this season.
