This is a very weak slate of games in the Big Ten this week. The best game this week is a Michigan team that hasn’t beat a good team in the Big Ten yet versus a Iowa team that lost to awful Minnesota last week. Here are my Week 10 Big Ten picks.

My Record so far Straight Up: 57-15 (Big Ten play 20-5)

Versus the Spread: 32-29 (Big Ten play 14-11)

MINNESOTA at MICHIGAN STATE(-28)

It was good to see Minnesota finally get a Big Ten win, but Michigan State is no Iowa. Michigan State defensive lineman Jerel Worthy and William Gholston will put all kinds of pressure on Minnesota QB MarQueis Gray. Michigan State should have success both on the ground and through the air against a Minnesota defense, which is 10th in the Big Ten. QB Kirk Cousins and WR B.J. Cunningham will make some big plays. Michigan State – 42 Minnesota-10

INDIANA at OHIO STATE(-28)

Ohio State is one of the hottest teams in the Big Ten not named Penn State. While Indiana is struggling and just lost 2 of their WR’s the strong point of their season. QB Braxton Miller and RB Dan Herron will run all over a Indiana defense that is allowing at least 41 points in their last 4 Big Ten games. This will be a good game for Miller to work on his passing, which he needs to work on badly. The Ohio State defensive line will dominate the Hoosiers. Indiana has lost 18 in a row against OSU make that 19. Ohio State-42 Indiana-7

MICHIGAN(-4.5) at IOWA

How in the world did Iowa lose to Minnesota? The most important thing in the Michigan win last week was the play of RB Fitzgerald Toussaint. Toussaint now gives Michigan a 2nd opition in the running game with QB Denard Robinson. These two should run all over a non typical Iowa rush defense this year. Iowa RB Marcus Coker was the only bright spot last week rushing for over 200 yards. Coker and QB James Vandenberg should have a pretty good day but the improved Michigan defense will produce some key turnovers. Iowa has beaten Michigan two years in a row but in won’t be three; something they haven’t done in school history. Michigan-31 Iowa-27

NORTHWESTERN at NEBRASKA(-17)

If you like offense this is the game you need to watch. Nebraska has one of the best rushing attacks in the country led by RB Rex Burkhead and QB Taylor Martinez. They should run all over a Northwestern defense that is giving 38 points per game in Big Ten play. The only weak spot for the Cornhuskers is the passing game; they should work on it here before Penn State. The Northwestern offense hasn’t been the problem for the Wildcats. QB Dan Persa is connecting on 75 % of his passes and WR Jeremy Ebert is a Wes Walker type. The Cornhusker defense has been improving, so look for them to make a key few stops. Nebraska-41 Northwestern-34

PURDUE at WISCONSIN(-26)

Both teams are coming off tough losses. Purdue just got outplayed while the Badgers have lost back-to-back games in the last minute. Michigan ran all over Purdue look for Wisconsin RB’s Montee Ball and James White to do the same. QB Russell Wilson will also have a big day. Purdue QB Caleb TerBush has had an up and down season. Look for this game to be the same against a Wisconsin defense that has struggled the last couple of weeks, but they should get back on track this week. Wisconsin-44 Purdue-17
