Former Baltimore Ravens and current NFL Network analyst Brian Billick has expressed interest in the head coaching job with the Miami Dolphins. According to the Sun Sentinel, Billick has said he would have an interest in the team but stated he has not yet been contacted by the franchise.

The newspaper claims according to sources, initial calls for the Miami Dolphins will go out to former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher and former Tennessee Titans head coach Jeff Fisher. Fisher has openly stated through his agent that he wishes to return to the head coaching ranks in the NFL this season.

Billick, 57, has been in the coaching ranks since 1978 breaking in at Brigham Young University. At the professional level, Billick started with the Minnesota Vikings 1992 and remained with the franchise until 1999 when he took his first head coaching job with the Baltimore Ravens. Billick remained with the Ravens until 2007.

Billick’s career coaching record is 80-64 in the regular season and 5-3 in the playoffs, winning a Super Bowl with Baltimore in 2000.
