The Houston Texans will be without the services of WR Andre Johnson once again this week, dealing with a lingering hamstring injury. This will now be the eighth game of the regular season which Andre Johnson will miss this season. Johnson missed six straight weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against the Pittsburgh Steelers, an injury which required surgery.
Johnson did return for two weeks before suffering yet another hamstring injury while playing against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12.
The Houston Texans, in a most uncanny fashion have found their way into the playoffs and currently hold the number one seed in the AFC playoffs after dealing with some serious injuries this season, several of which have been season ending. The Texans don’t face a very daunting schedule in the remaining three regular season games, so the franchise would be wise to rest Johnson for the Texans playoff run, despite Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson wanting to return to the lineup to satisfy his fantasy football “owners”.
