Miami Dolphins DE Jason Taylor has made the decision to retire at the conclusion of the 2011 NFL regular season according to Dolphins team sources. Jason Taylor is the Miami Dolphins all-time leader in sacks and is currently ranked sixth among all-time NFL sack leaders.

Taylor has recorded 139 1/2 career sacks. In his 15th season, Taylor is still effective in pass rush situations. He has recorded just 17 tackles this season but has logged seven sacks, second on the Dolphins roster this season. Taylor has made six trips to the Pro Bowl and was named the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2006.

Jason Taylor will turn 38 in September 2012.
