Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Raheem Morris didn’t stay unemployed very long. Morris is now a member of the Washington Redskins coaching staff. Morris was interviewed by the Washington Redskins shortly after being fired by the Buccaneers at the conclusion on the 2011 regular season and was rumored as a possible candidate to become the defensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings.

Morris had one year remaining on his contract with the Buccaneers and would have been paid by the organization for the 2012 season if he had not decided to return to the coaching ranks next season.

Morris will become the Washington Redskins defensive backfield coach, a job which he held in Tampa Bay for four seasons before making an improbable assent into the role of head coach once the club fired Jon Gruden prior to the start of the 2009 season.
