Philadelphia Eagles QB Michael Vick was voted the most disliked athlete in the NFL last year, but his public perception is still suffering as Forbes magazine reports that Michael Vick is the most disliked athlete in all professional sports. In a poll conducted by Nielsen and E-Poll Market Research, Michael Vick took the top spot as the most disliked athlete in the public’s eye.
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was on the top ten list last season, stemming from the alleged sexual assault allegations in 2009. New York Jets WR Plaxico Burress made the list this season, after his first season returning to the NFL after serving a jail sentence for gun possession charges.
New to the list is Detroit Lions DT Ndamukong Suh. Suh drew national attention to himself after stomping on a Green Bay Packers offensive lineman on a Thanksgiving Day broadcast. Suh was slapped with a two-game suspension from the NFL for his actions.Suh has also been hit with several fines from the NFL in his short two year career.
Veteran WR Terrell Owens even made the list, but he did not play in 2011, in fact, his NFL playing days could finally be over.
