My personal campaign to get Willie Nelson on the halftime stage of Super Bowl XLVII continues. As a hardcore NFL fan, I’m tired of lip-synced, crappy half time shows at the Super Bowl. It’s time to put a true American, legendary musician icon on the 50-yard line which doesn’t require fireworks or a great sound system to mask the lip synching in order to produce a great show.
I have started this campaign on Monday of this week and this needs to move forward. After contacting the Super Bowl XLVII staff, I have been directed to the NFL main office. I have not heard back from the league office yet, but I will let readers know how things are progressing on this movement.
Willie Nelson fans could call the number listed below, provided to me by the Super Bowl Events Committee in order to voice their opinion. I am serious about making this happen. You would be surprised in what happened just this week with my suggestion of adding Willie Nelson to the Super Bowl halftime show.
