The Carolina Panthers, a team deeper than nearly every NFL franchise at the running back position has agreed to a trade of one of their running backs this afternoon, and it’s not the running back you might have thought. According to various media outlets this afternoon, RB Mike Goodson has been traded to the Oakland Raiders in exchange for unreported details.

BREAKING- Various sources are now reports as the details of this trade emerge, the Oakland Raiders are sending OL Bruce Campbell to the Carolina Panthers in the deal which sends Mike Goodson to the Raiders.

Mike Goodson was impressive on the field in 2010 as a Carolina backup, but missed nearly all of the 2011 season while dealing with injury. Goodson will now become the backup for RB Darren McFadden for the Raiders in 2012.

For the Carolina Panthers, they are still stacked at the running back position with DeAngelo Williams, Jonathan Stewart and Mike Tolbert on the roster. Fully expect Stewart to remain on the trading block while heading into his final year of his rookie contract.
