Recently retired Pittsburgh Steelers WR Hines Ward might be done playing football, but he isn’t done with football. The prolific wide receiver might be interested in joining the coaching ranks. On Tuesday, Ward was on the field at the University of Georgia’s spring practice, shadowing the coaching staff.

University of Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo told ajc.com Ward was on the field to observe what the coaching staff does on a daily basis. “He just wanted to come over and spend the day with me and kind of see what coaching was like. He’s trying to see if that’s something he wants to get into,” said Bobo.

Ward’s visit to the University of Georgia is not a sign of any impending decision as the coaching staff for the Bulldogs is set for the 2012 season. More than likely, you’ll be seeing Hines Ward on a television set in 2012 giving his commentary on the NFL.Ward did say that he is interested in coaching though. Speaking with reporters, Ward said, “If he wants to hire me, hire me. That would be my ultimate dream job to come back and coach at the University of Georgia.”
