By Eric Schmidt

It was reported yesterday that former Tampa Bay Buccaneers DT Warren Sapp has filed bankruptcy. This news comes on the heels of the controversy he created last month by calling former New Orleans Saints TE Jeremy Shockey the “snitch” in the Bounty-gate scandal surrounding the team. This morning, Greg Bedard of the Boston Globe suggests that Sapp’s time as a commentator on the NFL Network is over.

Sapp is under contract by the league owned NFL Network through August of 2012. Bedard claims that two sources have confirmed that the network will not renew his contract in August. In fact, Sapp’s presence on the network has been limited in recent weeks after the controversy he created by fingering Shockey in the Bounty-gate scandal. According to Bedard’s source, the network has not scheduled any appearances by Sapp on the network at anytime in the near future.

Sapp is currently paid $540,000 dollars annually by the NFL Network.

I have to iterate here: Fire him!
    1. If nothing is done about or to Sapp what message does that send.
    2. Warren Sapp, if he stays, the NFL knows what they have on their hands.
    3. Letting Sapp go might not ever come this easy in the future.

      Good call Chris.
      Like your #3 best.
On top of everything, Sapp was overrated as a player. He fed off the ability of the defense studs around him. His mouth attracted him to the NFL Network in the first place, and his mouth will get him canned (hopefully) in the second.

All of you haters with that bigotry, vile and hateful attitude about Warren Sapp says you are probably from a criminal background yourself. He only spoke the truth, and the commissioner apparently thought so as well. All of the names that you called Warren really reveals who you are. He is an expert at what he does, are you? I DIDN’T THINK SO.

Warren Sapp is a HERO and you are a ZERO with all of that name calling, etc. It is the likes of you that are always cowards. I guarantee that you would not say that in his face without your posse. THIS YOU DO KNOW. You know that he did the right thing and apparently Goodell thought so too. NOW! rUN TELL THAT.

Isnt Sapp the one who called the Bucs owner a slave master?Yes he is.Then his ungratefull, rascist ass was shipped outa town to the Raiders for next to nothing.Hes a punk, with the mentality level of something less than a barnyard animal. He will wind up on welfare and be a burden on society.

After pointing the finger of blame,he should be out. This loud mouth zero does nothing but shoot off his uninformed piehole. I hope he gets his *ss sued for doing what he did on network tv.If you make 540,000.00 a year and can’t make ends meet, then like obama said, you’ve made enough and it’s time to give it up.Noone will miss this wrecktum.
