Nearly two months after the start of the 2012 free agency period, QB Vince Young finally worked out for a team. The Buffalo Bills. On Wednesday, Young worked out for the Bills organization at their facility according to one anonymous source. The Bills released no official statement after the workout.

Bills wide receiver David Nelson said that Young appeared to be in shape during the workout and was one of four receivers that Young threw the ball to. “He looked good. Big guy. Physical and aggressive. He’s in shape. He’s definitely in shape, working out and working hard,” said Nelson after the workout.

The Bills currently have two quarterbacks on their roster, three if you include Brad Smith who is officially listed as a quarterback. Tyler Thigpen is currently listed as the backup to starter Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Young last played with the Philadelphia Eagles last season under a one-year deal. The fact that the Eagles had no interest in retaining him after a turnover plagued season in exchange for the signing of Trent Edwards says volumes. The fact that not one team in the league has worked Young out until this point is surprising.

If the Bills do not sign Young to a contract, his best shot at signing on with a team for the 2012 regular season might come during training camps if a quarterback goes down with an injury.
