The Baltimore Ravens have announced a press conference for 3 p.m. this afternoon. The presser is being held so that veteran Wide receiver Derrick Mason can retire as a member of the Baltimore Ravens. Mason played six seasons with the Ravens during his distinguished career and holds the all-time receiving yardage record with the team with 5,777 yards.Mason ranks second all-time on the Ravens with 29 touchdowns scored.

Mason played on the Ravens team from 2005 until 2010. In 2011 he was a member of both the New York Jets and the Houston Texans.

Mason broke into the NFL spending the first eight years of his 15 year career with the Tennessee Titans. He eclipsed the 1,000 yard receiving mark eight times in his career with his best season coming in 2003 when he recorded 1,303 yards. For his career, he recorded 943 receptions for 12,061 yards with 66 touchdowns scored.
