The Houston Texans have agreed to terms with free agent veteran RB Justin Forsett. Forsett is entering his fifth season in the NFL having played four seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and a very brief stint with the Indianapolis Colts. His best season came in 2009 when he nearly topped 1,000 total yards and scored five touchdowns.

Forsett will become the Texans third-string running back behind Arian Foster and Ben Tate. He is occupy the roster position held last season by Derrick Ward. Although Forsett has never carried the ball more than 118 times in a single season, he does possess good reception skills. For his career, Forsett has rushed for 1,287 yards while recording 97 receptions for 730 yards.

In additional Texans news, Houston added another player to their roster Saturday, adding 27 year old CB Alan Ball. Ball was a member of the Dallas Cowboys last season, a team which struggled in pass defense. Ball received very little interest in the free agent market but the move will reunite him with his former head coach Wade Phillips. Phillips is now the Texans defensive coordinator. Ball was the Cowboys starting free safety two seasons ago.
