The Tampa Bay Buccaneers front office and coaching staff had to be holding their collective breath awaiting the outcome of the pending Aqib Talib trial last month. Charges were eventually dropped bu the prosecutor, but the Buccaneers now find themselves having to deal with another issue surrounding a cornerback.

Free agent signing, CB Eric Wright, was arrested late last night on charges of DUI. Wright was arrested on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and was involved in an injury accident in downtown Los Angeles, near the Staples Center.

Wright admitted to officers that he had been drinking and was booked into the Los Angeles Detention Center. Wright was booked into jail in lieu of posting a $100,000 dollar bond. A $100,000 dollar bond for a DUI arrest is very steep and all of the details in this case have not emerged.

Wright recently joined the Buccaneers via free agency and agreed to a five-year, $37.5 million dollar contract. Wright, in what could be considered ironic, was last a member of the Detroit Lions.
