Training camps will open around the NFL in coming days and on Tuesday, the Houston Texans announced their schedule of open practices for fans to attend. Compared to other NFL teams, the Texans have a limited number of open dates for their fans to attend, limiting the number to just six dates. Houston opens their training camp on Saturday, July 28 as the team hopes to build on their success last season, reaching the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

Starting today, Texans fans can print out their free tickets to attend one of the open practices, with a limit of four tickets per person. Fans can visit the team’s official site at www.houstontexans.com in order to print out their tickets starting at 8 a.m.

Fans will also be able to purchase the Texans 2012 cheerleader calender and cheerleaders will be on hand in order to sign calenders for fans. (Editorial note- the Texans cheerleader squad is consistently one of the best looking squads in the league).

According to the Texans team website, the franchise has once again created a theme for each open practice.

The schedule of open practices is listed below-

Saturday, July 28 8-10am Liberty White Out
Sunday, July 29 8-10am Deep Steel Sunday
Monday, July 30 8-10am Youth Day
Wednesday, Aug. 1 8-10am Salute to Service
Friday, Aug. 3 8-10am Battle Red Day
Saturday, Aug. 4 8-10am Fan Appreciation Day

I am 15 years old and will be turning 16 November 20th. I am a huge Texans fan and would love to show off what I can do in hopes of making it to the NFL.
