The Southern Amateur Football Association (SAFA) is entering into it’s second season and the league is currently accepting applications for teams to join their league for the 2013 season. Teams which are interested in applying to join the league can visit the league’s home page and fill out the following application.
According to the league’s official website, there will be a series of three meeting upcoming for team’s wishing to participate in the league for the upcoming season. Current team owners will participate in a closed meeting on July 14th with “open” meetings on August 11 in Orlando, Florida and another “open” meeting to be held in West Palm Beach on September 8th in West Palm Beach. Both meetings will start at 11 a.m. and will likely run until 1 p.m.
The league, according to their official press release, will announce the teams which will play on or around November 1, 2012 with play expected at this point to start on February 9th, 2013 and conclude with the league championship in late May of 2013, playoffs are scheduled for late April.
This season, the South Florida Storm took the SAFA by storm as they cruised through the league undefeated and captured the league’s first championship trophy. Can they repeat in 2013?
