The Washington Redskins under head coach Mike Shanahan have been a nightmare for fantasy football owners. This week is no different. The Redskins official website last week listed Evan Royster as the number one back for Washington. Despite what the website listed, Shanahan told the media he had already made up his mind, but refused to reveal which running back would receive the starting nod.

Royster was skeptical of being listed as the team’s lead back heading into week one, and it appears his skepticism was warranted. Dal Hellie of NBC 4 in Washington is reporting that rookie RB Alfred Morris will get the starting nod for the Redskins this afternoon when they take on the New Orleans Saints.Hellie took to Twitter to break the news, writing- “#Redskins will start rookie 6th round pick Alfred Morris at RB vs Saints on Sunday.”

Morris will get the start but you should also expect Royster as well as Roy Helu to see action for the Redskins. Expect the Redskins to continue to confound fantasy owners for the entire season.
