Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte suffered a sprained ankle last Thursday against the Green Bay Packers. It’s highly likely that the Bears will be without him in the lineup this week at home against the St. Louis Rams. Forte did not practice on Thursday along with LB Brian Urlacher.

Forte’s injury was originally reported as a high ankle sprain, an injury which could limit Forte’s availability for several weeks, but that was refuted by Bears head coach Lovie Smith.

Fantasy owners should monitor this situation over the weekend, but hopefully you took my advice and drafted Michael Bush as well. In fact, I liked Bush’s fantasy value this season ahead of Forte because of the goal line carries that he’ll receive over the course of the season.

Even if Forte starts, I wouldn’t expect much from him. Start Bush instead and you’ll be rewarded.
