The NFL Wee4 Injury Report has already been released, and the active and inactive lists are being reported as well. Many fantasy football owners are looking to see if some of their players will be in the lineup this week, and some of the 1 PM games have already released the active and inactive list. Among the players who are active and will play on Sunday are Buffalo Bills running backs Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller, Detroit Lions running back Mikel Leshoure and Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones.
Jackson and Spiller are both active and will play for the Bills, although it is not yet known as to how Chan Gailey will use them or split the carries. It will be an uneasy situation for fantasy owners who plan on starting either Jackson or Spiller on Sunday against the New England Patriots. Rob Gronkowski is active for the Patriots, to very little surprise.
Leshoure will play when the Lions take on the Minnesota Vikings, although it not yet determined if he will see fewer carries or snaps with a groin injury suffered in his NFL debut last week. Either way, he is active and starting.
Jones was never really in any doubt to miss the Falcons game against the Carolina Panthers, but fantasy owners can breathe a sigh of relief to see him on the active list. As for their opponents, Jonathan Stewart is once again active and playing for the Panthers.
As first reported here earlier, Kenny Britt will not play for the Tennessee Titans. He is inactive, so make sure he is not in your starting fantasy lineups.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be without Peyton Hillis, but he should not have been in your lineup anyway. One Chiefs player who should be, however, is Dwayne Bowe, who is active today against the San Diego Chargers. Nate Kaeding will not play for San Diego, meaning Nick Novak will be called upon for field goal duties.
When the New York Jets take on the San Francisco 49ers, one tight end will start while the other will not. Vernon Davis is active for the 49ers, while Dustin Keller is once again inactive for the Jets.
Finally, Steven Jackson is once again active for the St. Louis Rams, but it is anyone’s best guess as to just how effective he will be against the Seattle Seahawks today. He always seems to play, but could once again be limited.
