Despite an impressive showing by the Green Bay Packers on the road last Sunday night against the previously undefeated Houston Texans, the Packers offense will not receive any additional help on offense this week. According to the Packer Report this afternoon on Twitter, Greg Jennings will be out of the lineup again this week as the Packers take on the St. Louis Rams.

According to the report, the Packers are now hopeful that Jennings can return in week 8. Jennings has only appeared in one complete game this season for the Packers and partially played in a total of three.

In fantasy circles, Randall Cobb and James Jones have been the beneficiary of Jennings groin injury to date. Last Sunday night, Jordy Nelson finally had a breakout game for the Packers, while the Green Bay offense finally showed it’s potential against a very tough defensive opponent on the road.

Jennings has been a major disappointment for fantasy owners this season, recording just 12 receptions for 78 yards and one score. The Packers have been a total disappointment early on this season, but their schedule is now set to get a bit easier moving forward. If you have the room on your roster to hold on to Jennings, I’d advise to do so. He will eventually get healthy and will be a solid contributor down the stretch as the Packers make a push towards the playoffs.

Thepigskinreport.com is currently conducting a contest which can net you a $250 gift card from Courtyard by Marriott as well as an autographed JJ Watt football. Entries must be made prior to noon Sunday, October 21 to pick your road warriors in week 7. Play today!
