Fantasy football owners are rapidly approaching the mid-way point of the NFL regular season. Your team could be on the cusp right now and you you could be in need of a few waiver wire pickups in order to keep your team in possible playoff contention. Then again, you could be in first place and want to snap up a few hot players on the waiver wire in order to keep them off opposing team records. As we get deeper into the regular season, the waiver wire gets slimmer each week. There are a few players which should be available on various waiver wires this week that might help you out.

Running Backs-

LeGarrette Blount, Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Rookie Doug Martin was anointed as the starter for the Buccaneers heading into this season. In the last two weeks, third-year RB LeGarrette Blount has seen his role increase with the Buccaneers. He now has two scores in the last two Buccaneers games. Blount might be a good flex play this week as the Bucs host the 31st ranked Saints run defense.

Alex Green, Green Bay Packers- Cedric Benson is out and Alex Green seems to have the upper hand running the ball for Green Bay. If you are looking for another running back, Green shows some promise in certain matchups.

Montario Hardesty, Cleveland Browns- If you own Trent Richardson, you should think about adding Hardesty.

Felix Jones, Dallas Cowboys- DeMarco Murray is ruled out for the Cowboys week 7 game. Jones will start this week against the Carolina Panthers defense on the road. He should be a solid RB2 this week.

Wide Receivers-

Mike Williams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers- The Greg Schiano run-centric offense seems to be fading away as the Buccaneers are throwing deep in their recent games. Williams, a spectacular rookie, is rotating back into the Buccaneers offense and has back to back 100+ yard games and a touchdown in each contest. He has a tasty contest against the weak Saints defense this week.

Brandon Gibson, St. Louis Rams- A consideration in PPR leagues, he is filling in for the loss of Danny Amendola.

Josh Gordon, Cleveland Browns- Gordon, the Browns supplemental draft pick this season, has put up some solid numbers over the past two weeks. He has a 22.8 yard per catch average and three scores in the last two weeks.

Quarterbacks-

Josh Freeman, Tampa Bay Buccaneers- Freeman is coming off a very impressive showing last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. He has 627 yards and four touchdown passes in his last two games and should post solid numbers as a QB 2 this week against the Saints defense.

Tight Ends-

Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota Vikings- Rudolph has five scores in the first six weeks of the season.

Defense-

Minnesota Vikings- The Vikings return home to host the Arizona Cardinals and their horrible offensive line and likely John Skelton.
