The Pittsburgh Steelers don’t kick off their contest with the Kansas City Chiefs until Monday night, but it’s already known that WR Antonio Brown will miss this week, and perhaps even more time with an ankle injury. Originally reported by and now, Brown’s injury could be a lingering issue for him and the Steelers.

Brown had a superb season last year and has 42 receptions for 499 yards and a touchdown this season. Brown received a long-term contract extension from the Steelers this offseason, even as WR Mike Wallace expressed his desire to receive a new contract. Wallace had said in the offseason that he desired a Larry Fitzgerald-type long-term deal, but the Steelers haven’t appeared ready to invest that type of money in Wallace.

Fantasy Football Implication– With Brown out of the lineup, Pittsburgh will turn to Emmanuel Sanders, a more than capable replacement. Sanders was in the news this week after receiving a fine from the NFL after faking an injury in a game recently against the Cincinnati Bengals. Sanders faked the leg injury in order to preserve a timeout. Start Sanders as a solid flex player this week in a juicy matchup. Since the Steelers play on Monday night, you might want to make sure to adjust your roster accordingly this afternoon.
