In what looked on paper to be an absolute blowout, the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars combined Sunday afternoon to produce the biggest fantasy football scoring fest of the afternoon. The Jaguars entered the contest Sunday afternoon after allowing a league leading six straight opponents to score 24 points or more against them, and that continued after surrendering 43 to the Texans, but the Jacksonville offense came to life.

QB Chad Henne– After Blaine Gabbert exited the game with an elbow injury, Henne rallied, throwing for 354 yards and four touchdowns with no interceptions. His performance was truly amazing based on the fact that he completed just 16 of 33 passes for just a 48.5% completion percentage. The journeyman quarterback torched the third ranked pass defense in the league for four touchdown passes. According to, Henne scored 30.86 points.

WR Justin Blackmon– The fifth overall pick in the NFL draft has struggled this season, but he seems to have pretty good chemistry with QB Chad Henne. He posted a career high and impressive outing with seven receptions out of 13 targets for 236 yards and a touchdown. Equally impressive against the Texans quality defensive unit. 29.60 fantasy points scored.

QB Matt Schaub– For whatever reason, many Texans fans don’t seem to like QB Matt Schaub. I happen to think he’s a very good quarterback. Yes, he had some injury issues last season, but he’s playing very solid football right now. In his last four games, he has thrown 10 touchdowns and just four interceptions. He posted a monster afternoon on Sunday, throwing for 527 yards and five touchdowns in an unexpected shootout against the Jaguars. His afternoon has him leading all fantasy performers so far this week with 37.08 points

WR Andre Johnson– I downplayed Johnson’s fantasy value this season, but despite that, he did have a monster afternoon on Sunday. He scored the Texans winning touchdown in overtime, hauling in a 48-yard pass from Schaub. Johnson logged 273 yards in receptions and caught 14 of 19 targets on the afternoon. I am still downplaying his fantasy value from here on out however, he had a favorable matchup this afternoon and he is aging. He did however produce 33.08 points to his owners this afternoon.
