Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones has had a solid fantasy football season, ranking 12th in ESPN among receivers so fat this season. Jones status for this week’s game is in question after being listed as questionable after suffering a shin injury last week against the New Orleans Saints. The speedy reviver has not practiced this week and could miss this afternoon’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Jones will be a game time decision for the Falcons this afternoon. Jones experienced some swelling this week and will be a game time decision. The good news for Jones owners is that the Falcons play early on Sunday afternoon so he could be replaced in fantasy lineups.

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports on Twitter this morning, “Julio Jones is adamant that he wants to play today. Will test out ankle shortly. If he’s active, he’s expected to be limited.”

Fantasy owners might be wise to replace Jones in their lineups this week. Mortensen doesn’t explain what he means by the use of the word limited, but that cannot be good news for Jones owners. I own Jones in own of my leagues and have replaced him in the lineup with Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb.

Update: Jones is active this afternoon, but as I explained above, I would seriously temper your expectations this week. Start him if you have no other options, but he will be limited.
