The New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons are developing into quite the NFL rivalry, despite what Curtis Lofton may tell you. But while the Falcons have struggled to get the better of the Saints on the field for the most part, they are now looking to prove that their fans have the superior egg throwing skills.

Arriving in Atlanta for their Thursday Night Football game, New Orleans players’ said that while they were on the bus, they were egged by airport workers in Atlanta. Something is starting to smell a bit rotten in this bitter and heated NFC South rivalry.

Take a look at the tweets by a few of the Saints’ players.

Jimmy Graham: “Bus just got egged after landing in ATL by the ramp workers. Classy! “RISE Up” smh”

Chase Daniel: “Wow, as we’re boarding buses on the Tarmac @ Atlanta airport, we start getting eggs thrown @ us by airport workers! Guess they do hate us!”

Will Herring: “First time my bus has been egged by opposing fans! should be fun!!”

The Falcons and Saints have already developed into an exciting rivalry highlighted by many great finishes and close contests.

They certainly don’t need anyone or anything to egg them on.
