Brandon Jacobs made the decision to join the San Francisco 49ers prior to the 2012 NFL season. It turns out he may be regretting his choice.
Jacobs on Saturday said through Instagram that he is ”on this team [49ers] rotting away’.” He also called his first year in San Francisco his ”worst” yet during a career that has lasted eight seasons, with the first seven of them coming as a two time Super Bowl winner with the New York Giants.
Over the past few days, Jacobs has gotten all sentimental and reminiscent about his days as a member of the Giants, even going as far as posting pictures of himself with New York and with his two Super Bowl rings. Nostalgia is apparently getting the better of Jacobs.
”I am on this team rotting away so why would I wanna put any pics up of anything that say niners,” Jacobs said. ”This is by far the worst year I ever had, I’ll tell you like I told plenty others.”
Taking matters even further via social media, Jacobs blasted the 49ers on Twitter as well, saying ‘I don’t understand why people are angry at me because I wanna do what I am paid to do, I am a competitive person, I think people should be mad if I didn’t wanna play. … As for all of my Instagram photos I don’t have any niner pics, if you’ll find me some pics I’ll put them up.”
Well, he can check out the picture on the front page of this article, if he is really looking for one.
It is a start.
Unlike what can be said of Jacobs’ career with the ‘Niners. It is tough to get a start when you always inactive.
