The Seattle Seahawks are expecting CB Richard Sherman to play Sunday night against the San Francisco 49ers. Sherman is facing a four-game league imposed suspension after he tested positive for a banned substance. After missing two practices this week, Sherman returned to Seattle after holding an appeals hearing at the league office.

No ruling was made in his appeals hearing but Sherman took to Twitter on his return flight and sent the following message, “Been a long day but very productive. I will be out there with my teammates on Sunday!” No ruling is expected over the weekend.

Seattle faces a difficult game this Sunday night against their divisional foe, the San Francisco 49ers. It will be important for the Seahawks to have Sherman in the lineup as other members of the Seattle secondary are already banged up. Walter Thurmond and Marcus Trufant are dealing with hamstring injuries but were able to practice this week. Both players are officially listed as questionable heading into the weekend.
