The Jacksonville Jaguars announced this morning that the team has hired former Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Gus Bradley. Will the Jacksonville Jaguars now trade for Seahawks QB Matt Flynn? Bradley obviously has intimate knowledge of Flynn, watching him on the practice field all season long. If anyone knows if Flynn is capable of being a starting quarterback in the league, it would be Bradley.

Seattle head coach Pete Carroll told reporters this week that the team would be willing to trade Flynn if he indeed requests a trade. Flynn is firmly locked in the number two role in Seattle behind Russell Wilson.

Blaine Gabbert is not a long-term solution for the Jaguars. Chad Henne is average and more suited for a backup role. The Jaguars fron office has dismissed the idea of landing Tim Tebow. Can Matt Flynn be the dynamic quarterback that Jacksonville needs? Gus Bradley knows.

Jacksonville has high draft picks in each round and perhaps the Jaguars to wrestle Flynn away with a third-round choice. The quarterback draft class is this this season. It’s possible that the Jaguars could choose to draft a quarterback this season, but no one quarterback is really standing out over the crowd as a player that appears ready to step in a run an NFL offense. The NFL Free Agent crop is even thinner this season.

If Flynn is ready to assume the role of starting quarterback and Bradley believes in him, don’t be surprised to see Flynn wearing teal next season.
