New York Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw underwent countless battles with foot injury issues this season and now that the team’s season is over, he’s decided to undergo foot surgery. Bradshaw has been sighted in a walking boot and will be sidelined for a reported 10 weeks due to his surgery. Fantasy football owners should be very aware of this issue and draft accordingly in 2013 in regards to the soon to be 27-year old running back.

Bradshaw’s surgery was done to replace a screw in his right foot. This was his third procedure on his right foot. He has undergone a procedure on his left foot and undergone surgeries on both ankles.

Bradshaw is signed through the 2014 season, playing for $3.75 million in 2013. He has made rumblings that he isn’t convinced that he wants to play for that amount in 2013, but given his current health status, I don’t believe he is going enter negotiations from a position of strength.

Fantasy owners should look for David Wilson’s role to increase next season. Wilson could turn out to be a late-round fantasy draft bargain as long as he continues to contain his turnover issues.
