Appearing on NFL AM Tuesday morning, former New York Giants running back Ahmad Bradshaw spoke about his future plans and mentioned that he might not be moving out of the Big Apple after all. Bradshaw mentioned that the Giants said they might be interested in bringing Bradshaw back at a reduced salary next season.

Bradshaw was one of several veterans released by the Giants last week as the team purged some salary in an effort to get younger as a team. Given his injury issues, Bradshaw will likely be an affordable signing in the free agency period. Bradshaw recently had another foot surgery in order to replace a screw in his foot, and might not be ready to practice until the start of training camp later this summer.

During the interview, Bradshaw raised the prospect of playing for the New York Jets. The Jets RB Shonn Greene is a free agent and not expected back with the team. Signing the former Giants running back might make some sense, but the team has pressing needs in finding a way to reduce salary first.

“The New York Jets are a team that I’ve kinda been thinking about, just to stay home, not a big move from New York. It’s right across the street from where I am now,” Bradshaw told the morning show.

Not so fast there big fella. Jets beat writer Manish Mehta took to Twitter to dispel any notion of Bradshaw joining the Jets. “Free agent RB Ahmad Bradshaw expressed his interest in Jets this morning on @NFLNetwork…#NYJ position on Bradshaw: Thanks but no thanks.”
