Wide receiver Steve Breaston was released by the Kansas City Chiefs last week, but he has been drawing plenty of interest since his release. Breaston has already met with the Pittsburgh Steelers and now a report suggests that he will meet with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday of this week. The NFL Network reports that the Tennessee Titans, Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions also reportedly have interest in veteran pass catcher.
Breastoin joining the Steelers seems to be a logical fit given his familiarity with Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Todd Haley, the two were members of the Arizona Cardinals in previous years. Pittsburgh could use another receiver with the expected loss of Mike Wallace via free agency.
Breaston only appeared in 10 games for the Chiefs in 2012, recording just seven receptions for 74 yards. Prior to 2012 however, Breaston has shown he can be a solid number two receiver with his best season coming in Arizona in 2008 when he recorded 77 receptions for 1,006 yards and three scores.
Breaston told reporters that he will explore all of his options in order to find the best situation for him and an opportunity that will maximize his playing time.
