It appears that a day after being released by the Detroit Lions, the St. Louis Rams have decided to take a chance with WR Titus Young. There is little doubt about Young’s physical abilities, but there has been a serious question mark raised this year about his mental and personal character issues. The Rams are a team in serious need of wide receivers heading into next season and the club, under head coach Jeff Fisher have illustrated that character issues with players hasn’t scared them off in the past.

According to Jason LaCanfora on Twitter, “The Rams claimed WR Titus Young, who was waived by the Lions on Monday.”

Young’s release from the Lions was not unexpected. He is been disruptive all season long and according to reports which surfaced this morning, the receiver told his high school football coach that he believes he’s a better wide receiver than former Lions wide out Calvin Johnson.

Best wishes to the Rams and Jeff Fisher. I understand he comes with low risk with two years remaining on his rookie contract, but he is going to require some serious attitude adjustment if he wishes to continue his NFL career moving forward.
