As news surfaced this afternoon about the pranked phone call between Buddy Nix and Mark Dominik, the one thing that came out of the illegally recorded phone call was the fact that the Bills general manager had little faith in quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Well, as the respective franchises are looking at legal ramifications over this audio release from, Bills fans now have to look at who is going to play quarterback for the Bills next season.

Nix stated during the recorded audio that the Bills were looking for a quarterback and the general manager explained that he felt Fitzpatrick was over paid and thought he should be looking for a backup quarterback position instead of starting.

Buffalo now, under rookie head coach Doug Marrone, has to fill the quarterback position vacated by Fitzpatrick. The Bills were going to be facing a $10 million cap hit by keeping him on the roster. The last coaching regime in Buffalo had little faith in Fitzpatrick and now, the team will have to start over from scratch under center.

Given a very thin quarterback free agent class, Fitzpatrick will land somewhere this offseason, likely as a solid number two quarterback on a roster.
