Multiple reports this morning are suggesting that Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is suffering from a high ankle sprain and his availability for this afternoon’s game against the New Orleans Saints is now in question. Jeff Darlington reports that White will see limited action while ESPN is reporting that he might be out of the lineup entirely.

White figured to play a large role in this afternoon’s contest. Adam Schefter reports on Twitter, “Falcons WR Roddy White is nursing a high ankle sprain that will make it challenging for him to play today vs. Saints.”

The fantasy value of Julio Jones, Steven Jackson and Tony Gonzalez just went up with this revelation. High ankle sprains are painful injuries which tend to nag offensive skill players for lengthy periods of time. In active players will be announced by 11:30, White owners should closely monitor his status closely.

11 AM UPDATE: The Falcons continue to insist that White will play. His effectiveness has to be in question.
