According to a report this morning, the Cleveland Browns will release RB Montario Hardesty on Monday morning. Hardesty has struggled with injuries during his career in the NFL after being drafted in the second round in 2010. Hardesty is currently on the injured reserve list and the Browns will release him on Monday according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
Hardesty came out of college with a lengthy injury history and the string of health issues continued in the NFL with the back missing 29 games since joining the Browns in 2010.
The Browns traded former first-round selection RB Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts prior to week three and signed veteran free agent Willis McGahee.
This move will have no fantasy impact as Hardesty didn’t figure to contribute this season. Many of the draft picks from the former coaching staff and front office are being purged from the roster.
