The NFL world has been waiting for a glimpse of what exactly former Oregon head coach Chip Kelly was going to bring to the Pro level and we all get a glimpse this evening as the Philadelphia Eagles visit the Washington Redskins. Kelly is famous for his high octane scheme in the college ranks, but many have questioned is ability to implement his style of play to the pro game.

Veteran QB Michael Vick will be running Kelly’s offense, but his style of play is nothing new to opposing defenses around the league. Even if Kelly is able to get 80-85 plays a game out of his offense, Vick’s play has been well documented, so I am not expecting anything new out of his style of play.

The Washington Redskins are hopeful for a successful return to the field for second-year QB Robert Griffin III. RG III has not seen any playing time this preseason or training camp and could come out rusty.

I watched every preseason game from both teams, and I have to say that I was not impressed with the Eagles defense.

The current Vegas line is the Redskins giving three to the Eagles. Interesting as the line opened up with Washington giving 5.5. The over/under is 52.5. I think many are over anticipating what the Chip Kelly offense is going to look like in week one.

I’m taking Washington, giving the points and the under. Washington 24-20.

Good pic Eric, right on the money! Eagles win NFC East, Washington wild card at 9-7, Giants and Cowboys finish last each at 8-8
