Despite a horrible offensive showing, the Pittsburgh Steelers will keep Isaac Redman as their starting running back for Week Two of the regular season. The running back position has been one of uncertainty of the past few seasons for the Steelers and the first week of the 2013 was no different.

The Steelers lost RB/KR La’Rod Stephens-Howling for the season after he torn his ACL. Pittsburgh also went back to the past in order to boost thier roster, re-signing Jonathan Dwyer on Monday.

The Steelers managed just 32 yards rushing against the Tennessee Titans while Redman comes off his worst showing as a pro. Redman fumbled twice and rushed for just nine yards.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin told reporters that he would get another chance to start this week against the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday night. “Obviously he played a bad game. He’ll be given an opportunity to redeem himself.”

This move should not get fantasy owners too excited. Looks elsewhere to fill your running back needs.
