Injuries at the quarterback position continue for the Buffalo Bills this season. Thad Lewis, signed off the practice squad last week was injured against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday and is dealing with a foot sprain. Buffalo lost Kevin Kolb to a concussion early on and rookie E.J. Manuel is dealing with a knee issue. According to one report this afternoon, the Bills will be signing free agent quarterback Matt Flynn as early as today.

Jason LaCanfora reports the news on Twitter. “Bills likely to sign Matt Flynn, who is working out for the team. Buffalo has been struck be repeated QB injuries since the preseason.”

Flynn was released by the Oakland Raiders earlier this season after a dismal start in Terrelle Pryor’s absence.

Flynn spent the majority of his career backing up Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay. As a free agent, he was singed by the Seattle Seahawks and failed to win the starting job from rookie Russell Wilson. He was traded to the Oakland Raiders this past offseason. In his last two seasons, Matt Flynn has earned nearly $15 million dollars and has started just one game.

Green Bay declined any interest in Flynn rejoining the team after being released by the Raiders weeks ago, citing what they believe to be a lingering elbow issue effecting Flynn’s performance.

Fantasy owners should avoid Flynn like the plague. He has no fantasy value and if you are contemplating adding Flynn to your roster, you’ve likely already lost your league this early in the season.
