The Washington Redskins announced last night that the team has ruled tight end Jordan Reed out for Monday night’s contest against the San Francisco 49ers. Reed is still dealing with league mandated concussion testing and will not play after not passing his required tests. This is a serious loss to the Redskins offense with WR Leonard Hankerson already out.

The Redskins will likely use TE Fred Davis as the starter Monday night. Davis has been a healthy scratch in each of the last five contests for the Redskins. Since this game is played on Monday night, fantasy owners will have other options to consider at the tight end position this afternoon. Reed owners should avoid Davis.

One option to consider is Indianapolis Colts Coby Fleener. Fleener is only owned in 43% of ESPN leagues and could see a lot of looks this afternoon with the Cardinals corners clamping down on the Colts wide receivers.
