The St. Louis Rams nearly upset the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night, falling just one yard short with seconds remaining. RB Zac Stacy turned in the best rushing performance of the season for St. Louis, rushing for 134 yards on 26 carries against a very stingy Seattle defense. Stacy suffered an ankle injury that was initially believed to be a high ankle sprain, but it was later downgraded. Fellow running back Daryl Richardson sustained a foot injury. Both backs are officially listed as questionable for today’s contest against the Tennessee Titans.
Stacy was seen at practice this week, walking without any discomfort. He did practice this week but was limited on Friday in what was considered to be a precautionary move. Stacy is a good play this week against the Titans defense that struggles against the run. QB Kellen Clemens will need to get a run game established this afternoon.
Richardson was limited in practice on Thursday and did not practice at all on Friday. Regardless of his status heading into today’s game, Richardson should not be started this week. The bulk of the running duties are now in the hands of Zac Stacy and should be the only Rams running back fantasy owners consider.
UPDATE 11:00 am EST- ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Zac Stacy will play this afternoon against the Titans.
