Okay, if you liked the San Francisco 49ers trading for Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blaine Gabbert, you’ll love this one. Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden is scheduled to visit with the Dallas Cowboys this afternoon. According to ESPN, the Cowboys will be hosting the 30-year old quarterback along with free agent tackle Henry Melton.

Weeden posted just a 5-15 record as a starter for the Browns in his short career and has thrown 23 touchdowns to 26 interceptions. Weeden is a former first-round draft choice, selected in the 2012 NFL draft by a desperate Cleveland team.

Dallas might need a back up quarterback for the 2014 season after speculation that Kyle Orton might choose to retire this offseason.

Melton, a defensive tackle, is coming off ACL surgery and is expected to be ready for the 2014 season. He most recently met with the Seattle Seahawks. With Jason Hatcher leaving via free agency, Dallas has a glaring hole to fill on the defensive line.
