The NFL Network has just reported that Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck will not play this afternoon versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is the first game that Luck has missed in his short NFL career. Luck missed some practice time this week while dealing with shoulder soreness. In a report earlier in the morning from NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport revealed that the Colt’s medical staff did examine Luck and found no structural damage but the Stanford product is unable to go later today.
Indianapolis now hands the ball over to veteran journeyman Matt Hasselbeck . Hasselbeck is one of just two back up quarterbacks in the league with over 100 career starts, the other being Michael Vick. The Colts signed QB Josh Johnson earlier in the week.
With news of this report breaking, the Vegas line moved from Indianapolis giving 9 1/2 points to just 3 1/2. The over/under dropped from 47 to 44.5
